Don’t Panic! There is always a solution

Happy Friday all!

Today we woke up to this:

you can't really tell by the pic but it was snowing HARD and the flakes were BIG.

A snowy blizzard. Oh Canada! What a difference from the last few days. Remember the little adventure I had with GMan? Forget that and welcome back the snow. Today is definitely a day to run on the treadmill.

So GMan and I thoroughly enjoyed watching American Idol last night. If you ask GMan he may not use those choice of words. Whatever he says, I know deep down he liked watching it as much as I did. Right Baby?! I was happy to see my girl get through. Obviously, I knew she would! Near the end there was a bit of a crisis – “network difficulties – please stand by”  Thankfully it didn’t last long and I got to see the end.

I made us a snack to eat while we spent “quality time together”. ha!

Remember, I’m the snacking Princess according to GMan. I beg to differ. Ok, maybe not. But it would be cool to be known as the speedy Princess or something of that sort rather than eating. Don’t you think?

One can never go wrong with a fruit salad. I cut up some strawberries, an orange, and a few cactus pears, mixed it with a bit of crunchy cereal and pinapple – coconut- banana yogurt. It was SO good.

The only reason I am going to tell you the following is because I don’t want you to go through the same state of panic or frustration that I did. Capeesh? Capeesh.

The other day my handsome man made homemade tortillas to have with dinner. The best way for them to stay warm/fresh is to wrap them up in a tea towel. Anyways, when we were ready to eat, he set them directly on our nice hardwood table. Do you know where I’m going with this? We were at the table for probably an entire hour afterwards just talking with the kids and avoiding the dishes. Well, guess what happened?! The moisture from the tea towel took the finish right off the table and left a big white mark. Did I mention it was right in the middle of the table? This Mami was not a happy camper. No Señor. Everytime I would walked by it which was about 2579 times since our place is open concept, I wanted to cry. After a couple days of waking up and the white stain continued to greet me with a big “good morning”, I got some advice from Mr. Google and it worked like a CHARM!! It amazed me. I wish I had pictures to show.. sorry friends

We placed a white towel over the stained area and ran the iron over it for about a minute then turned the steam on and continued to run the iron over the stained area. Within a few minutes… BAM! The problem was fixed and no more white spot. The Mami was then a VERY happy camper. You know what they say: Happy wife, happy house, happy husband. The moral of the story is, if this happens to you, DON’T PANIC! Just grab a white towel and the iron :) Just don’t blame me if it doesn’t work though, K?

. . . .

Check out my YOU + ME page to see one ROCK’N runner who sent me a picture from her favorite race. Want to brag about your accomplishments? Admit it, I know you do!! Check this out and then email me a picture! Don’t be shy :)

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!

What are your plans this weekend?  What fruit do you like to put in a fruit salad?
