Let’s Remember

Today, let’s remember…

Let’s remember the thousands of victims who died 10 years ago on Sept. 11, 2001.

Let’s remember the men and women of Emergency Services who put their own lives at risk by saving the lives of others.

Let’s remember their families, friends and neighbours.

Let’s remember how it brought people from all over the world together, fighting for the same thing: survival.

Let’s honor all of those people by taking a minute today, to remember.

I think we all remember where we were when we heard the awful news. I was in history class. As the final bell rang, I raced home to turn on the news in hopes that it was all a lie. I remember my Dad working on the house while watching the news in disbelief. I remember asking my Dad “you won’t have to go, will you?” Which may have been selfish on my part but Sept. 11, 2001 was a reminder of just how short life really is.

yes, it brought the world together. First out of fear then out of love.
